Tech gets first commitment in Parkway's Jefferson

Louisiana Tech had its final practice in full pads before its annual T-Day Spring Game Saturday on Wednesday. It also had a visitor in Parkway High School's Brodrick Jefferson.

Jefferson enjoyed his visit so much and seeing the offense he decided to commit to the Bulldogs.

"[The visit] was great," Jefferson said. "I enjoyed the practice, its a great atmosphere. I made my decision today -- I committed to LA Tech."

Tech's new offense really tries to get players in space so they can make plays after the catch and that fits Jefferson's game perfectly.

"I watched the practice and I loved the intensity and the environment. I think the offense is a fit for me."

Last season, Jefferson was an honorable mention All-State selection. He finished with 59 catches for 1,046 yards and 11 touchdowns. Defensively, he had 13 tackles and 2 interceptions.

Jefferson's quarterback is Rivals.com 3-star quarterback Brandon Harris who is hot commodity right now in recruiting.
