Conference USA Power Rankings - week 4

This week's power rankings for Conference USA did not have many moves. UTEP dropped, UTSA went up and so did Louisiana Tech.

1 East Carolina
The Pirates were off this week and held on to the top spot. This week, they travel in-state to North Carolina.

2 Marshall
The Thundering Herd fell on the road for the second straight week. This time to Virginia Tech in triple overtime.

3 Middle Tennessee
The Blue Raiders moved up a spot in this week's power rankings after going on the road to FAU and coming out with an overtime victory.
Last Week: 4
4 Rice
The Owls lost to cross-town rival Houston last week and will look to bounce back in a conference game against FAU at home.

5 North Texas
The Mean Green gave no. 9 Georgia scare at halftime, but the Bulldogs made adjustments and rolled off 641 total yards of offense against North Texas.
Last Week: 5
6 Tulsa
The Golden Hurricane was off this week and kept its no. 7 ranking this week. If they can beat Iowa State this week, Tulsa can move back up the rankings where they began the season.
Last Week: 6
7 UTSA
The Roadrunners took care of business on the road at UTEP and were this week's biggest moved thanks to that conference win in El Paso.

8 Tulane
The Green Wave were taken to the woodshed by Syracuse 52-17. Can they bounce back this week on the road at ULM?

9 Louisiana Tech
The Bulldogs moved up this week after a loss and much of that has to do with its offensive improvements. Should the Bulldogs find consistency on offense they will move up this ranking in coming weeks as their defense keeps them in games.

10 UTEP
The Miners got beat at home last week in a conference matchup with UTSA, 32-13.

11 UAB
The Blazers beat FCS opponent Northwestern State last Saturday, but I think the Demons get better crowds in Natchitoches than the Blazers do in Birmingham.

12 FAU
The Owls gave Middle Tennessee all they wanted but ultimately fell in overtime to the Blue Raiders.
Last Week: 12
13 Southern Miss
The Golden Eagles had a bye this past week and were unable to strength its losing streak. This week they play on the road at Boise State, they get to continue that streak this week.
Last Week: 13
14 FIU
The Panthers basically begged for a running clock in their 72-0 loss to Louisville.
