Boykins, White to be Honored on Senior Night as Tech Hosts MTSU

Louisiana Tech (16-11, 7-7) will play their final home game of the season Saturday night when they host Middle Tennessee (21-5, 13-1). The conference-leading Blue Raiders defeated the Bulldogs 72-57 in Murfreesboro on January 11th.

Tip-off is set for 6PM and will be broadcasted on Stadium. The Voice of the Bulldogs, Dave Nitz, will have the radio call on KXKZ 107.5FM.

Seniors, Jacobi Boykins and Joniah White, will both be honored prior to tip-off. Boykins will be playing his final game at the Thomas Assembly Center and is currently 27th all-time in scoring at Louisiana Tech with 1,296 points. He is also the program’s all-time leader in three point field goals made with 249. White, who had to step away from the program due to a health issue, wrapped up his career fifth in program history with 124 blocked shots.

The Dunkin’ Dogs defeated UAB 73-60 Thursday night and have now won six of their last eight games. The Bulldogs shot 45% and knocked down 11 three pointers in the victory.

Anthony Duruji scored a game-high 21 points and continues to wow Bulldogs fans with thunderous dunks on a nightly basis. Daquan Bracey also chipped in 11 points, five assists, and zero turnovers in 23 minutes.

Middle Tennesee has won eight consecutive games including a 72-62 win over Southern Miss Thursday night. The Blue Raiders held the Golden Eagles scoreless over the final 7:15 of the game.

Nick King leads the Blue Raiders averaging 21.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
