Dancy and Scott Lead 'Dogs past UTEP

Jaqwis Dancy and Boston Scott accounted for 312 total yards and two touchdowns Saturday afternoon as Louisiana Tech defeated UTEP 42-21.

On the day Louisiana Tech amassed 546 total yards of offense. Quarterback J'Mar Smith had one of his better performances of the year piling up 252 total yards and four total touchdowns.

Defensively the Bulldogs had their issues slowing down a dismal Miner offense allowing 424 total yards. To combat all the yardage given up, the Bulldogs turned the Miners over three times. One of the turnovers resulted in a DeMarion King 71 yard interception return for touchdown.

The Bulldogs now need a victory in the final regular season game of the year next week in order to gain bowl eligibility. In order to do so, the 'Dogs will need to defeat the RoadRunners of UT-San Antonio.

Kickoff is set for 6:30PM next Saturday at Joe Aillet Stadium, and the game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
