Impact Analysis: Julius Turner a force

Louisiana Tech dipped back into Mississippi, which could also be known as the land of defensive linemen for Tech, for a defensive tackle. Julius Turner is the next Tech DL to come from the Magnolia State. Seniors Vontarrius Dora and Vernon Butler both hail from Mississippi and have had very good careers as Bulldogs.

The Commitment: Turner committed to Tech Thursday and held offers from Army, Memphis, South Alabama, Southern Miss and Wake Forest at the time of his commitment.

What It Means To The Class: Tech had not received a commitment from a DT yet for the 2016 until Turner's commitment. With Butler leaving after this season and Aaron Brown as a junior Tech will have new faces no matter what in the near future at DT.

Impact At Louisiana Tech: Turner's ability to get off the ball, use his hands against blockers and get up field quickly will make him a force to be reckoned with.
