Tech's second of 2017 committed on the spot

It did not take George Scott long to make his decision when Louisiana Tech coaches called to offer him a scholarship today. He was all in and committed on the spot pumping up the Tech coaching staff he said.

Scott participated in Tech's camp and was making plays all over the field at inside receiver and outside receiver. Tech has not said where they prefer him just yet.

"[Tech coaches] say I can fit right in with my size and skill level," Scott told BleedTechBlue.com Wednesday evening. "They haven't talked to me about what position yet, at the camp they had me doing both [inside and outside receiver]."

After finishing his junior season with 42 catches for 735 yards and 14 touchdowns according to The Natchez Democrat (Scott says he had 17 touchdowns) he clearly can make plays.

"When I first arrived on the campus, it felt like home and the love they showed me made me want to be a Bulldog. I'll like La tech to be my next home after high school. I think it's a great program to be a part of."

With a limited number of scholarships to give out for 2017 with a small senior class leaving, Scott was smart to lock up a spot along with Kollin Hurt this past weekend.

Officially he may be George Scott III but his friends call him Tre. Tech fans, welcome Tre to the Tech Family.
