Tech to Begin Four Game Home Stand, Host Charlotte

Louisiana Tech (14-10, 5-6) will be back in the friendly confines of the Thomas Assembly Center Thursday night when they will play host to Charlotte (5-16, 1-9).

The game will be broadcasted on BEIN Sports with tipoff set for 7PM CT. The hall of famer, Dave Nitz, will have the radio call on KXKZ 107.5FM.

Tech suffered a heartbreaking loss at the hands of Florida International Saturday night 71-68. Panthers guard, Brian Beard Jr., connected on a long three pointer with no time left in regulation to give FIU the win.

Although the Bulldogs lost, Tech did welcome all-conference point guard, Daquan Bracey back into the lineup after missing the previous five games. The sophomore played 14 minutes and scored seven points.

Jacobi Boykins and Amorie Archibald were the lone Bulldogs to score in double figures with 13 and 12 points respectively. Archibald also contributed a team-high seven assists and seven rebounds in defeat.

Charlotte comes to Ruston as the losers of eight consecutive ball games and are currently in last place in the Conference USA standings. Having fired head coach Mark Price on December 17, 2017, it has been a tumultuous season for a traditionally strong 49ers program.

Jon Davis leads the 49ers in scoring, while averaging 15.5 points per games.
