Charlie Robinson announced his commitment to Louisiana Tech on Wednesday night.

Robinson, a defensive end, plays his high school football at Sterlington HS in Monroe, LA.

The Panthers are the defending state champions in Class 3A.

On why he chose Louisiana Tech, Robinson told BleedTechBlue.com, "I chose LA Tech because it is close to home. It’s far enough where I can be on my own and make a name for myself. Another thing that played a part in me making my big decision on LA Tech is the LOVE!! I felt all of it as soon as I stepped onto the campus on my first day. The school is a place that can not only help me athletically but academically as well!! The Architecture program played a huge part in my big decision!! Tech is well known for engineering!! I’m really excited to further my education.”
