Bulldogs Cage the Jaguars

For three quarters Saturday night, Louisiana Tech and South Alabama were locked in a tight battle. A fourth quarter that saw the 'Dogs score 17 unanswered points propelled the Bulldogs to a 34-16 victory.

On the evening, J'Mar Smith, making the sixth start of his Bulldog career completed 24-39 for 317 yards and three touchdowns. The signal caller also carried the ball 11 times for 37 yards on the night.

On the ground, Boston Scott had 76 yards rushing on just six carries, along with a fourth quarter touchdown to put the game away.

Teddy Veal continued his strong play with five catches for 88 yards and a touchdown.

All in all the Bulldog offense piled up 479 total yards.

Defensively, Secdrick Cooper had the first two interceptions of his career to lead a Bulldog defense that only gave up 333 total yards.

The 'Dogs will be back in action next weekend as they travel to Birmingham for a tilt with UAB. Kickoff is set for 3PM.
