Douglas continues Bulldog legacy by making commitment to Tech

Louisiana Tech picked up its eighth commitment this weekend from a former Bulldog's son. Derrick Douglas played at Tech from 1986-1989 and his son Kelsey Douglas (Hightower HS, Texas) committed to Tech this weekend.
Prior to his commitment, I had the chance to watch Kelsey and talk to him following his game against The Woodlands High School. Hightower lost to The Woodlands 29-7.
After being on hand to see Tech defeat Houston 56-49, he committed to Tech. Seeing the amount of energy the Bulldogs played with along with a bright future helped him make that decision.
"Seeing the team when they came out the tunnel and during warm ups just looked like they had that fire and most of all looked like they were having fun," said Douglas. "I also could see how bright the future was for the program and I wanted to be part of it."
