Jacobi Boykins was ejected early in the second half after a thunderous dunk in which the referee appeared to believe he stared down the Charlotte defender to result in his second technical.

Jon Davis had 24 points for the 49ers in the defeat.

Tech will now turn its eyes to Old Dominion. The two teams will square off Saturday night at 6PM.
