Louisiana Tech (10-7, 1-3) will travel to Middle Tennesee (11-4, 3-0) for the first game of a two game road swing that also includes a matchup with UAB. The game will tipoff at 8PM CT and will air on CBS Sports Network.
The ‘Dogs ended a three game losing streak their last time out when they defeated UTEP 97-88. Playing without two starters, DaQuan Bracey and Joniah White, Tech played their most complete game of the season.
The Dunkin’ Dogs shot 56% from the field and knocked down nine threes in the victory. Derric Jean led Tech with 20 points, while reserve forward Jy’lan Washington added a career high 19 points. Amorie Archibald, making his second career start in place of Bracey, had a career night with 15 points, six assists, and five rebounds.
Middle Tennessee, the Conference USA preseason favorite, have won three straight road games to open conference play. Road wins at UAB, FIU, and FAU have not come easy with the Blue Raiders only winning by a combined 12 points.
Alabama transfer, Nick King, is having a phenomenal year for Kermit Davis’ team. King is averaging 23 points per game along with 7.5 rebounds. Sharp shooting guard Giddy Potts is averaging 13.7 points per game and shooting 41% from downtown.
