Health Concerns End Joniah White's Bulldog Basketball Career

Louisiana Tech starting center, Joniah White, announced today that he has decided to end his playing career due to health concerns.

The 7-footer, missed most of the 2015-2016 season due to a heart condition which led to a defibrillator being installed in May of 2016.

White was a fan favorite of Bulldog fans throughout his career at Louisiana Tech. Known for his can’t miss smile, White will be missed by Bulldog fans everywhere.

In his four years at Louisiana Tech, White played in 83 career games and leaves the Bulldogs as the program's fifth all-time leading shot blocker with 124.

Joniah White is scheduled to receive his degree from Louisiana Tech in May.
