Louisiana Tech is now in search of a new head football coach after it was announced that Skip Holtz would not return in 2022. Holtz is 64-49 in 9 years at Louisiana Tech and will coach the Bulldogs in the season finale on Saturday at Rice.

BleedTechBlue will dive in to break down our first head coaching hot board.

Tech OC Joe Sloan

Sloan has been at Louisiana Tech since the 2013 season. The East Carolina graduate is currently the offensive coordinator but has had head-coaching pedigree for some time now. Sloan knows what it takes to be successful at Louisiana Tech having been in the area for so long and was a finalist for the ULM job in 2020.

Oklahoma State QB Coach Tim Rattay

Rattay is a name that will pop up throughout this search. Tech fans are familiar with Rattay's success when he was the QB for the 'Dogs from 97-99 throwing for 12,746 yards and 115 touchdowns.. Rattay was a member of the Tech coaching staff from 2013-2018 and is currently in his 2nd season at Oklahoma State.
