Storylines for Louisiana Tech vs. Texas AM

For many, this game seems like it should be over before it gets started. You could count me in that number, during Tech Nation Radio on Tuesday I picked the Aggies to beat the Bulldogs 35-20 and said it would not be as close as the score would indicate. The more and more I look at the storylines, the less and less I feel like I know about this game.

Jerrod Johnson injured his shoulder in Texas A&M beat down of Stephen F. Austin last Saturday. Reports are that Johnson has been receiving cortisone shots much of the week in that shoulder. To what extent will his shoulder be a factor?

All-american Von Miller injured his ankle Saturday and missed much of the game. Will Miller play?

Lennon Creer a Tennessee transfer showed off his ability Saturday against Grambling State, will Creer be able to find running room against a stingy Aggie defense?

Bulldog quarterback Colby Cameron makes his first career start on a big stage in Kyle Field. How will he handle the pressure?

Tim Molton makes his return and first career game as a Bulldog at Kyle Field. Molton was indefinitely suspended by head coach Sonny Dykes during fall camp and reinstated this week. Will Molton play?

Can the Louisiana Tech offensive line play consistently and give Cameron the time he needs?

Tony Franklin and Dykes' styles of offense typically get going in their second games and continue to rise. Will this be the game where Tech's offense shows what they are capable of?

Can the Louisiana Tech defense keep the up with the fast pace offense of the Aggies? They practice against a fast pace every day, will it help?

Can the Aggie special teams find consistency? Special teams are one of Louisiana Tech's strengths.

I stand by my prediction of 35-20, but I would not be surprised if the score was closer or not so much closer. The unknowns in this game make predicting an outcome even more difficult.
