Tech Inks 13 in Early Signing Period

Skip Holtz and the Louisiana Tech coaching staff inked thirteen players this morning in the early signing period.

The one surprise addition for the Bulldogs came by way of Trinity Valley Community College in linebacker Trey Baldwin (6’2, 235). The former Missouri Tiger committed to the Bulldogs late Tuesday night and put paper to pen early Wednesday morning.

The class is highlighted by wide receiver Maureese Wren (6’3, 225) out of Mesquite Horn (Mesquite, TX). Ranked in ESPN’s Top 300, Wren held over 30 Division 1 offers including Arkansas, Arizona, Washington, and others before signing with the Bulldogs.

In all, the Bulldogs signed one quarterback, three wide receivers, two offensive lineman, one defensive lineman, three linebackers, and three defensive backs in the early period.

With early signing day now complete, the Bulldogs will now shift their focus to tonight's matchup with Sonny Dykes and SMU in the in the inaugural DXL Frisco Bowl.
