White adds another transfer from Ole Miss

Louisiana Tech head basketball coach Mike White has been busy since arriving in Ruston trying to upgrade the athleticism on his roster. Adding a veteran to his backcourt will certainly do that.
Trevor Gaskins is a combo guard who played 3 years at Ole Miss and has already graduated. Because of NCAA transfer rules for graduated players, Gaskins can transfer to Tech and play next season as long as he pursues a master's degree that Ole Miss does not offer.

Gaskins is transferring to Tech in search of a better situation and fit.
"I thought transferring was the best siutation for me and
Ole Miss wasn't the best fit. I have nothing against Ole Miss at all. I love Ole Miss and learned a lot in the 4 years I was there on and off the court," said Gaskins.
At Tech Gaskins looks forward to continuing his education and playing for White again.
"I'm looking forward to all the opportunities LA Tech is offering me. Once being able to get my master's and furthering my education. Two, playing basketball for one more year with Coach White," explained Gaskins.
Although he does not know what he wants to study for his master's, Gaskins has a great relationship with White and was ecstatic to be able to play for him again.
Gaskins said of White, "I really like that [Coach White] is energetic and can relate to the players really well."
Gaskins describes himself as a combo guard. He says he has the ability to catch and shoot, create his own shot, and get other people open shots and in the right position to score. Gaskins also said he loves playing defense and says it's his biggest strength.
Gaskins will more than likely be starting along side Kenyon McNeaill at either guard position.
